We offer lenses without refraction (1.5 refractive index), with single refraction (1.6 refractive index and 100% UV protection) and double refraction (1.67 refractive index and 100% UV protection).

Recommendations

  • For lenses with low powers (-2.0 - 4.5 and +2.0 - +4.0) we recommend a thinned (refractive index 1.6) or unthinned lens.
  • Double gain is recommended for intensities (-4.0 - 7.0 or +3.5 - +5.5)

In addition to being lighter and thinner, double and triple thinned lenses offer 100% UV protection. However, a double-thinned lens is not optically superior to a single-thinned lens. We therefore recommend that you choose a thinner lens according to your strengths.

The PD value (or KV value) tells you the distance between the pupils and is often found on the card that came with your glasses.

What kind of frames can be lensed?

  • Valmiit luku- ja aurinkolasit sekä edulliset asusteeksi tarkoitetut kehykset eivät sovellu linssitettäviksi. Valmislaseilla tarkoitetaan esim. kaupoissa myytäviä luku- ja aurinkolaseja. Valmislasien kehykset ovat usein niin heikkolaatuisia, etteivät ne kestä uusien linssien asennusta.
  • Siimakehykset/nylor-kehykset, joissa kehyksen alaosa on korvattu nailonlangalla.
  • Kehyksettömät kehykset (ns. hengettömät), joissa linssien ympärillä ei ole lainkaan kehyksiä.

  1. We will mail you an envelope to send you the lenses. Put your glasses in the envelope and take the envelope to the post office. The postage has been paid on your behalf. Leave your old lenses in the glasses.
  2. We will notify you when your glasses have arrived. We will do a condition check on your frames and remove your old lenses.
  3. We will make you new lenses based on the power levels you specify and fit the new lenses to your frames.
  4. We will mail your glasses with new lenses to you and send you a tracking code by email to track your shipment. You will also receive your old lenses back in the package.

Eyeglass Lens Satisfaction Guarantee

As a guarantee of our quality, we offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee for lenses purchased from the Linssikauppa.fi online store, which is valid for 30 days from the date of receipt of the lenses.
So if for one reason or another you’re not happy with your new lenses, we’ll make you a new pair for the same price, free of charge. The satisfaction guarantee does not cover changes in the strength of the eyeglass lenses. When changing to the more expensive lenses, you will have to pay the difference in the price of the lenses.

Please note that eyeglass lenses are NOT exchangeable or returnable.

This is how you benefit from the satisfaction guarantee:

  1. First, contact our customer service team at info@linssikauppa.fi or 02489110 and tell us why you are not satisfied with your lenses. Please note that you should get used to the new lenses around. 2 weeks.
  2. Our customer service will ask you for more information if necessary and accept your satisfaction guarantee exchange.
  3. Mail your glasses to us to have them re-lensed. The postage has been paid on your behalf.
  4. You will receive your new glasses by post.

Why are there no exchange or return rights for lenses?

The right of return under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act does not apply to goods that are manufactured or modified according to the customer’s requirements or clearly tailored to your personal needs, such as eyeglass lenses. The lenses are therefore always custom-made according to the user’s visual needs and cannot be resold or reused after manufacture.

Right of withdrawal

The right to cancel only applies to orders where there is no time to send the products to the customer or where there is no time to send the frames to us.

An uncollected shipment does not mean that the order is cancelled.

Cancellation notifications must be sent clearly to info@linssikauppa.fi. Please include your name, order number, contact details and account number in the email.

Shipping and handling costs already incurred for the order will be retained and will not be refunded.
