OLO® Anti-fog treatment instructions

To ensure the longevity of the lenses and the performance of the anti-fog coating, the lenses should be cleaned and activated as required, usually every 1-3 days depending on use. For best results, follow the care instructions below:

1. Cleaning and drying

  • Clean the lenses of your glasses with water as usual. Use lukewarm water. NOTE! Do not use hot water, as this may damage the lens coating.
  • Dry the frames and lenses with a microfibre cloth or a soft, lint-free handkerchief.

Tip: We recommend Piiloset Cleaning Soap,Piiloset Foam Soap or a similar mild soap. You can also use lens cleaning wipes or other lens cleaning products.

2. Activation

  • The surface of the lens should not be wet, but a little moisture will enhance activation. If the lenses are completely dry, a light breath is sufficient to moisten the lenses. Wipe the lens surface lightly for about half a minute with the activation cloth supplied with the lens.

3. Finishing

  • If the activation cloth leaves stains on the lens, finish cleaning with a clean microfibre cloth.

Care instructions for the activation line

  • Do not wash or immerse the cloth in water.
  • Avoid contact with water.
  • Do not expose the cloth to heat or sunlight.
  • Keep the cloth clean.
  • Store the cloth in a resealable plastic bag.
  • New cloth every 6-12 months depending on use.

General points to note

  • Do not use Piiloset Anti-fog activation cloth for wet cleaning of lenses!
  • As with any lens or lens coating: do not use excessive force, abrasive materials, strong detergents or strong solvents when cleaning.
